The Travels and Life of Päivi and Santeri Kannisto

Dear Mr. Niinistö, I am deeply concerned about the current state of affairs in Finland. We left Finland in 2004 to travel the world. We have been living in 102 countries around the world, and travelled through countries devastated by the US, NATO, and Russia. The last three years we lived in Georgia , which is at war with Russia . There is a ceasefire agreement, but a peace accord was never signed. Russia – the second biggest arms exporter in the world right after the US – benefits from such instability.

We had our first winter in 17 years. Snow looked incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the opportunity to see many of our friends and relatives in Finland and reconnect with our roots .

We travelled to Finland to visit family and friends, and caught a cold and hay fever.

We visited Finland for the first time in six years to promote Päivi's new book called Elämäni nomadina and see family and friends.

The Finnish nationalist party True Finns is exploiting Finnish racism, that has been an integral part of Finnish culture for ages.

Santeri is running for the Finnish parliament in the elections held on the 17th of April 2011.

Our first free book La Habanera. the escape from the rat race, got a face-lift. The book is available as epub, mobi, PDF, and paperback.

A Finnish tv crew came to film us for Lamastalgia episode 8 in Toulon, France.

Is time money? People have to sell less time in Buenos Aires to buy the same amount of time than in Helsinki.
