If your Vostro keeps crashing, uninstall Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework, Intel Management Engine Interface and HD audio. It works perfectly without all those bloatware programs filled with bugs and security issues.

I don't see any reason why it would not work. The performance could be slower, but it's worth the try I think if you don't have access to 64bit version or there is some other compelling reason for that. The Pirate Bay appears to have a Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit torrrent available for download.
