Creating Slideshow with Titles for Internet Archive Images

We have transferred our photo albums to the Internet Archive. While they offer a way to share (and embed) images, displaying titles is not possible. To display titles, I programmed a new slideshow. My solution is lightweight and built using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML to run solely in the web browser.

Island hopping in Polynesia was a dream-come-true for us. We had been planning it since 2021 , but the timing was never right for travelling two months on the high seas without Internet and phone . Now we were able to do it and it was sheer luxury! Polynesian Islands are known for beaches and popular destinations for snorkeling and watching marine life. We covered some parts of Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and French Polynesia as well as Cook Islands, Niue and Kiribati.

British sockets ( type G ) with three pins are used in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Malta, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and parts of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. You do not need expensive plastic adaptors to use them with European power plugs ( type C ). A thin pen will suffice.

Päivi got her 3rd PhD on Qualitative Statistics

Statistics has always been Päivi's Achilles' heel. She has been struggling even with the most basic formulas and calculations mixing up averages, medians, and probabilities. To tackle her weakness, Päivi decided to get her 3rd PhD degree on statistics. Her first PhD was on Finnishness (Tampere University, Finland) and the second on Global Nomads (Tilburg University, Netherlands) . The newest thesis is on Qualitative Statistics, which is a new, emerging research area thanks to the booming Artificial Intelligence research.
