Kasvavat ja elävät kadulla kuten sadat tuhannet muutkin kulkukoirat täällä Italiassa. Eläinsuojia ja haltuunottajia ei juuri ole. Tosin paikalliset ruokkivat villikoiria ahkerasti ja suurin osa kohtelee niitä hyvin, loput kiertävät kaukaa. Koirat tuntuvat nauttivan vapaudesta ja voivat hyvin.
