Travelling through Perpignan, Nîmes, Narbonne, and Montpellier in France. We returned to France to explore the South coast. Our route started from Perpignan near the Spanish border. We were welcomed in a French way: SNCF (the French railway monopoly) was on strike so we had to take a bus instead.

We helped them doing all kinds of construction work without much prior building experience and got hands-on with ecological challenges.

Hospitality exchange in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar’s city centre is Soviet-style. One part filled with dilapidated apartment buildings and the other with gers (or yurt, a kind of tent). After living seven months in a hotel in Cambodia and six months in Thailand , we thought it would be great to try something else for a while: hospitality exchange and Mongolia.
